OUR SERVICES
Concrete Sidewalk & Driveway Repair
We restore concrete sidewalks and driveways, and do concrete walkway repair through extensive crack filling and thin patch applications. Our specialised industrial-strength materials and repair procedures allow us to avoid sidewalk and driveway replacement (it is only done if specified by engineers).
APPLICATION BENEFITS
Why Sidewalks & Driveways Break
Concrete tends to crack as it ages, especially if it is exposed to weather elements, as is the case with sidewalks and driveways. Due to high traffic, these concrete surfaces degrade faster.
If crack repair and / or patching is done in a timely manner,
in most cases sidewalk and driveway replacement can be avoided.
Our Solutions
Sidewalk & Driveway Repair
We can repair broken up concrete sidewalks and driveways through thin concrete patching, which provides complete restoration. Concrete slab replacement is only done when indicated by engineers.
Sidewalk & Driveway Levelling
We are able to level concrete sidewalks and driveways by applying thin patches. When necessary, we also lift sidewalk slabs to even them out with the adjoining ones, by filling in the void underneath with appropriate materials.
Sidewalk & Driveway Replacement
In areas where patching is not an option, engineers specify sidewalk or driveway replacement.
To replace a concrete sidewalk or driveway slab, old concrete is removed, and the form for the new concrete slab is installed. A bond breaker is applied between the plates to prevent the slabs from merging. The new slab is poured into the form; when the form is removed, the area is finished.
Application Benefits
Complete Restoration
Thin patch applications allow us to do concrete driveway resurfacing and complete sidewalk restoration.
Full demolition and recasting are usually not necessary.
Cost Savings
Unlike with traditional methods that require a two-inch demolition of concrete surfaces, we can do patching as thin as 5 mm, which saves time and labour.
No Extensive Closures
Extensive closures are avoided since it is not necessary to demolish entire sidewalks. Monolithic adhesion provided by our products allows for efficient and lasting concrete repairs.
REPAIR METHODS
Concrete Sidewalk & Driveway Crack Repair
To repair a crack on any concrete surface, a clearly defined procedure is followed: cracks are prepped and then coated with specialised, industrial-strength adhesive, after which they are filled with polymer cement and sealed with a waterproofing primer.
Concrete Sidewalk & Driveway Patching
Concrete driveway and sidewalk resurfacing is possible through thin patch applications. Our industrial-grade materials permit patches as thin as 5 mm.
While under traditional repair methods, large parts of the sidewalk or driveway slabs would require complete demolition and recasting, the use of specialised concrete adhesives and polymer cement make concrete driveway and sidewalk repair or resurfacing much more cost-effective and faster. Industrial-strength concrete adhesives ensure long-resulting results.
FAQs
Sidewalk Replacement
Q: Our sidewalk has a lot of cracks – does it have to be replaced?
A: Under traditional methods it would have to be – new concrete cannot be fused with old surfaces. However, our industrial-strength adhesives make sidewalk repairs possible.
Patching a Sidewalk
Q: Is it possible to patch a sidewalk?
A: This would be impossible with traditional materials. We are able to make new concrete bond to the existing surface by using our specialised methods and industrial-strength adhesives.
Levelling a Driveway
Q: Can my sidewalk be levelled?
A: We are able to level sidewalks by repairing them with thin patches. Unlike with traditional methods that require
a minimum of two-inch demolition, the use of polymer cement together with our industrial-strength adhesives allows for thin patching to be done (which makes it possible to level sidewalks and other concrete surfaces).
